Big Port Saint Petersburg increased transshipment by 15.6%

According to the Association of Sea Trade Ports of the Russian Federation (ASOP), the cargo turnover of the port"s stevedoring companies of the Big Port St. Petersburg increased by 15.6% and amounted to 24.7 million tons. This is one of the highest rates within the harbors of the Russian Baltic.

Overall, the cargo turnover of the seaports of the Baltic Sea basin since the beginning of the year amounted to 103 million tons, which is 1.5% lower than in the same period last year. Reducing the rates was due to a 9.1% decrease in liquid cargo transshipment and amounted to 57.9 million tons. During this period, the transshipment volume of dry cargo even increased.
