Input data:
The Customer bought a spring-making line on EXW terms in the USA. It means that the Shipper is obliged to ensure loading of the goods from his warehouse to the vehicles provided by the Customer.

Objective:
To ensure the presence of Surveyor at all stages, to provide loading equipment, to determine the kind of transport and container for delivery, to calculate and chose an optimal route of delivery.

What was done:

  • Surveyor conducted visual check of equipment, examined technical documentation, the Shipper’s warehouse, access roads.

  • Based on provided data containers were selected. The necessary kind equipment for loading was determined.

  • An optimal route was determined. The port of loading was chosen – Baltimore, and delivery port – Saint Petersburg. Delivery route within the territory of the Russia was planned.

  • Tripartite negotiations have taken place with participation of the Customer and the Shipper. A detailed plan of activities was provided with a check-list for controlling the works quality.

  • By the date agreed by the parties containers for equipment, specialized machinery for loading were delivered.

  • Loading operations were supervised by Surveyor documenting the stages of loading procedure.

  • Containers were delivered to the port of departure.

  • The loading of containers was supervised by Surveyor controlling the process and documenting the integrity of the loaded cargo.

  • Equipment was delivered to the port of Saint Petersburg.

  • The cargo state, seals and container numbers were checked by Surveyor.

  • Bonded transit was opened; the goods were delivered to the temporary storage warehouse. Our broker completed customs clearance.

  • Equipment was shipped and delivered to the Customer’s warehouse.

 

Result:
The Customer was rendered a high quality 3PL service with accurately planned processes from the Shipper warehouse to the “door”. Control at all stages was ensured, with special attention paid to details.
